I conceptualized and designed a podcast book based on my thesis, sports. This podcast is about Olympic figure skater, Surya Bonaly from RadioLab. The book is structured to represent the illegal moves that Bonaly performed on ice such as backflips and handstands, so the reader flips the book while reading her story. This adds along to physical and mental exertion since it requires the reader to read the text tilted and fully flipping the book upside down to continue reading her story. I designed this book based off the frosty look of ice and delicateness of figure skating. The image of the ice with skate trails was used as a grid to create my typographic designs.
